Why One Village Uganda?

...Because the community/Uganda is very big and wholesomely cannot develop at once and may need a lot of resources that are not available, But starting with one village, development connects to other villages/communities hence to the whole country.

Background

One Village Uganda is a non-profitable organization founded early 2011. It operates in Nyabushabi parish, kyanamira sub-county, kabala district-Uganda and Rotarian Herbert Bagyenyi Kajoki is the Founding director.

Building capacity and developing a whole person through Agriculture, education, Tourism for a sustainable income.

  Objectives

  To check out environmental and climate threats that affect land use and production through us of modern agriculture as the best tool for sustainable income.

  To work through women, children’s and elderly to raise income through strengthening savings and entrepreneurship among people.

  To sensitise, mobilize and advocate for stakeholders through enganging school management committees, PTA and teachers so that we improve education standards in rural communities.

  To connect cultures/communities across the world through tourism and volunteering there by creating impact in communities. Read More...

Our Activities

  Agriculture Ativites: provision and support of agro-inputs like, equipments, seeds, fertilizers, spraying drugs, trainings and learning/study field trips.

  Education Ativities: learning materials to learners, teaching guide to teachers, sitting Benches/chairs and tables, library text books, children writing books, pens and other school supplies, some schools lack classrooms are un roofed as well teachers need refresher short courses and children need meals at school

  Conservation for future generations: culture conservation, soil conservation, climate changes training and provision of tree seeds.

  Tourism Ativities: development of tourism product, training of communities on art & craft skills, homestays experiences for tourists and communities.
